Branson may be known for Shows and their connections to the past, but for an outdoor recreation base camp, Table Rock State Park can’t be beat. Whether it’s camping, boating, fishing, swimming, diving or hiking the trails, Table Rock State Park offers something for everyone. Two trails to consider include the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail, a 2.25 mile paved trail that runs along the lakeshore, hence the name and the more rugged White River Valley Trail which includes small waterfalls, views of Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo, plus an abandoned farmstead. After a hike, settle in by a campfire and practice constellation spotting through the treetops. Bonus points for the Big Dipper.
